Macintosh user needs help from a kind soul...

Hi folks!

This is my first post. Please be nice to me.

I am not a power user, and have been able to enable Postfix to run on
my Macintosh. It was a little bit difficult for me. But I payed good
attention, while following an Internet Tutorial.

Postfix version 2.1.5

I can send out emails, from local accounts or even from other computers
on the network.

I am having a problem with pop3:

The GUI email programs on other computers tell me that I am supplying
with the wrong password, and this is what I get on the terminal window
on the Mac:

correiofacil-com:~ bernardo$ telnet 127.0.0.1 110
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.
+OK POP3 [127.0.0.1] 2004.88 server ready
user bernardo
+OK User name accepted, password please
pass xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
-ERR Bad login

I have reinstalled the whole system 3 times, and still get the same
message.

My guess is that somehow pop3 daemon is not retrieving the password
correctly from the system.

May be someone could help me?

Thank you!
