Just a couple of questions to try and get a clear idea of what
you wish to do.
1) Lan to lan mail has a 5MB size limit?
2) Lan to internet mail has a 1MB size limit?
If the above is correct, use a second instance for outgoing,
(to the internet), mail, with the first, (internal), instance
relaying any non local mail to the second instance for delivery.
You can than change settings to your hearts content.
