Postfix does not do that. The smtpd(8) server kills connections after
300s ($smtpd_timeout) of *idle* time. If large attachments fail to
be delivered without being rejected as too large, frequently the
problem is broken PATH MTU discovery (often caused by firewalls
that block ICMP).
