Hello everyone.

I am trying to set up Postfix + ldap+ imap+ sasl. My box is Debian
Sarge. Most pieces seem to work but SASL authentication for SMTP is not
happening. When I try to login using telnet to port 25, and then AUTH
PLAIN *****, the log file shows:

postfix/smtpd[1570]: warning: SASL authentication failure: cannot
connect to saslauthd server: Permission denied

When I use testsaslautd, it works fine. I searched Google and there were
many hits for this error but none seemed to have been related or
relevant to my case, as far as I can see. If anyone needs any particular
information to be able to help me, I would be more than glad to provide
that information.
