Besides what mouss suggested:

- use sa-update (that comes with newer versions of SA) to bring-in
  a couple of freshly updated core rules, they are quite valiable;

- you may use the p0f (passive operating system fingerprinting) to
  add few valuable score points for mail coming from zombi-ized PCs,
  its support come with amavisd-new-2.4.0, see release notes there
