I'm hardly an expert in this area having only set up 2 amavisd-new
filters, and I do think this more properly should be on the amavisd-new
mailing list, but IIUC ...
LMTP allows per-recipient error codes. I don't care about that because
I don't reject anything in the content filter. I chose LMTP for a more
mundane reason ... it stands out in the logs. :)
Of course if you were using LMTP for delivery to your LDA, this would
not be so.
