Hello all,
Just one question at the moment: are "backup mx" and "secondary mx"
synonymous in Postfix? I've been playing with some of the backup
settings and noticed that I can queue mail as a secondary MX just by
adding the recipient domain in relay_domains on the secondary MX host,
so I'm wondering where the permit_mx_backup and
permit_mx_backup_networks options come into play. Is a "backup MX" as
far as postfix is concerned a second mail server that can actually act
as a _final destination_ for the mailboxes (e.g. if the actual disk
containing the mailboxes is NFS mapped to two separate mailservers), as
opposed to a "secondary MX" which will hold the mail until the primary
becomes available again? Thanks in advance.
