2.3.x dsn support and delay_warning_time

Hello,

Postfix 2.3.x support fully dsn. With dsn, an remote mua or mta can
specify of which events to get informed (delayed, failed, success). See:
http://www.postfix.org/DSN_README.html

My question is, how does this relate too the delay_warning_time setting?

In Postfix < 2.3.x, an dsn delay message was sent after the specified
amount of time. If it was 0, no dsn dely message was sent.

In postfix >= 2.3.x what does the delay_warning_time really mean:

1)
A dsn delay message is sent after the specified time when the remote
mua/mta did not specify any extra parameters in the MAIL FROM: RCPT TO:
commands?

2)
A dsn message is sent after the specified time *and* if the remote
muta/mta requested an dsn delay message (by using the extra parameters
in the MAIL FROM: RCPT TO: commands)?

3)
A dsn message is not sent after the specified time if the remote mua/mta
explicitly did not request a dsn delay message (by using the extra
parameters in the MAIL FROM: RCPT TO: commands)?

Greetings,
