Your observations are correct. The configuration turned out this way
because we stopped short of fully moving all data to LDAP, and instead
generate postfix configuration files alongside the LDAP data files.
Unfortunately, the backup MX doesn't have access to this information.
All the more reason for us to complete the LDAP switchover and then fix
the backup MX.
