Timeout after EHLO

Hi,

It seems some of my problems with the other mailservers are caused by a
timeout after sending HELO or EHLO.

So, my server sends a mail to another smtp server, and then the following
error message turns up in the logfiles:

Dec 13 10:14:24 server postfix/smtp[2068]: 26B1090C03E: conversation with
xxxxxxxxl[yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy] timed out while sending MAIL FROM

I tought that this was some kind of tarpitting, but a postmaster of one of
the servers I have this problem with, tells me:

Dec 13 11:45:05 someotherserver postfix/smtpd[19705]: connect from
myserver[yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy]
Dec 13 11:50:05 someotherserver postfix/smtpd[19705]: timeout after EHLO
from myserver[yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy]
Dec 13 11:50:05 someotherserver postfix/smtpd[19705]: disconnect from
myserver[yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy]

Where should I look to troubleshoot this issue ?
Which postfix settings influence this ? I don't think I ever messed with
timeouts.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers
Ace
