Hello!
We have a MailHub on our DMZ. It is running Postfix 2.2.10 and
forwards mail to two internal Mailservers.
We have 3 domains, that are forwarded to twodifferent internal
maislervers. Forward is configured via transport_maps.
a.com forwards to internal server 1, mailname in format shortname and
firstname.lastname
a.b.com forwards to internal server 1, mailname in format shortname
and firstname.lastname
c.com forwards to internal server 2, mailname in format shortname
The usernamne are firstname.lastnamn and shortname.
Each user may need to read mail from several mailservers to get all
their mail.
We are now going to change our maillayout to the following;
- One MailHub (as we have today)
- One internal mailserver
We dont wants tha internal mailserver to handle 3 different
maildomains and usernames in different layouts, i.e. all forwarded
mail should be <firstname>.<lastnam>
b.com.
We like the mailhub to convert the mailadresses to one single domain.
Could that be solved via canonical_maps? If so how?
- Domain a.com and a.b.com have the same users
- Domain c.com shortname matches the shortname from a.com and a.b.com
We also like the MailHub to locally handle mailgroups for domain b.com.
I.e. If a mail is sent to <groupname>
b.com, it shouldn't be forwarded
to our internal mailserver, without being handeld locally.
Locally thou groupname should be handeld as an alias, and expanded to
the members of the alias. The members could be external addresses or
adreesses that matches any of our own addresses.
Hope that I managed to describe what we wants...
/Andreas
