I am using the vacation program to create an autoresponse for a given
local user. I'll call it localuser
server.mydomain.com.
The autoresponder works like it's supposed to if I write directly to
localuser
server.mydomain.com.
But I created a virtual alias pointing to it. I'll call it
virtual
virtdomain.com. I pointed virtual
virtdomain.com to
localuser
server.mydomain.com. But if I send mail to
virtual
virtdomain.com, it doesn't autorespond.
I'm not sure what because the headers of the sent message don't seem to
satisfy any of the exceptions specified in the vacation FAQ I am reading:
> No auto reply will be sent for any emails that have their "From:" header
> containing "???-REQUEST", "???-RELAY", "???-OWNER", "OWNER-???",
> "Postmaster", "UUCP", "MAILER", or "MAILER-DAEMON"' or if "Precedence: bulk"
> or "Precedence: junk" line is included in the mail headers. All these values
> are case insensitive.

and.htm)
Anybody know how I can get it to autorespond to mail sent to the virtual
address?
Thanx,
