Subject: Blackberry service and authentication dilemma

Hi, all. I have a user and he just bought a Blackberry Pearl and he
has been able to retrieve emails but unable to send email from his
device.

I looked at the log file and apparently Blackberry mail forwarding
services/servers have not offered any authentication to Postfix at
all.

I can not turn off authentication so this one particular user can send emails.

We spent an hour to talk to Cingular/ATT technical people and all they
said was nothing they can do and here are two hosts that they sent
emails from: star.blackberry.com and star.blackberry.net. I actually
did DNS lookups for these 2 hosts and they are nonexistent.

Oh god.

Is there anyway that I can overcome this issue?

Thank you.

They probably wanted you to exempt *.blackberry.com and *.blackberry.net.
