That would not solve the underlying problem: a too large message.
It would change the error message from the incorrect "illegal seek"
to the correct "file too large".

Consider that the file will keep growing, so you won't really solve
anything by raising the limit. At some point you have to start
changing mailbox size limits and whatnot.
Email is not good for huge files, because there will always be at
last two copies of the data (one copy in the queue, and one copy
outside the queue).
