Hi,
We're going to be offering a permanent email forwarding benefit for our
alumni, and I'm using a virtual domain for that purpose. All the
forwarding (once I figured out all the bits and bobs) works just fine.
But what's happening is that the domain from the "From:" header is being
rewritten somewhere, but I don't know where. Our regular domain is
linfield.edu and the alumni domain is alumni.linfield.edu. The envelope
is alumni.linfield.edu and the mail gets properly forwarded, so that
part is fine. I don't do anything with canonical rewrites (never used
them; I'd have to figure out how if I ever needed to). So what could
cause alumni.linfield.edu to be rewritten to linfield.edu?
Thanks,
Rob
