Unfortunately, this seems to be a Windows application. What I am
looking for is an open-source Unix application.

I've read the SMTPD_POLICY_README file and from what I can see
according to the protocol a policy server doesn't receive the
DATA part. Therefore I suppose I would have to use a content filter
if I expect to be able the verify the cryptographic content of an
e-mail.

Our customer wants a kind of S/MIME gateway which would check
S/MIME signing certificate among other things. Is there any
open-source project which provide this kind of functionality?
