No, the sender server has to bounce the mail back to the sender, it must
NOT be discarded!

If you accept a mail, then you are responsible for it.

For what reason would you want to do that? Spammers don't care for what
reason a mail is rejected. Best case is they distinguish between 4xx temp
reject and 5xx permanent reject.

Accepting all mails just to delete all mails to invalid recipients will
lead to a world of headache, beside the enormous waste of resources.

Not only will the spammers (that don't care) not know which addresses are
valid. Also the sender that merely mistyped an address will not know about
it either. But he will have the log to prove that you DID accept his mail
and then lost it.

What real problem are you trying to solve?
