nobody cares of this. when you connect to a server, it sees your IP.

not "technically" or "also", it should. period. If it does not, then the
name is irrelevant as it may not be trusted (If I manage the zone for
172.16.0.1, I can return "monica.whitehouse.gov". would you trust this?).

the MX has nothing to do when sending email. the MX is for _receiving_
mail.
