you have solved your problem, because you now use virtual aliases

you are confused. Headers have nothing to do with delivery. aliases and
virtual aliases do not change the To header. They change the mailbox to
which mail is sent.

If you look at the mail your recive from this list, you will see that
your address is not in the To header.
