don't know if this has been posted before, but a quick search in Google
returned me only few results.
Apparently for no reason, my postfix server started to show this error
when trying to send messages to an alias group. It was running Postfix
2.4.1 and the problem still persists after upgrade to the up-to-date
Jul 31 18:00:39 mail postfix/smtpd: warning:
dict_ldap_get_values: /etc/postfix/ldap/groups: Recursion limit
exceeded for special attribute member=CN=Name Surname,OU=Organizational
Jul 31 18:00:39 mail postfix/smtpd: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from
aaa-bbb-ccc-ddd.domain.tld[aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd]: 451 4.3.0
<everyonedomain.tld>: Temporary lookup failure;
Grepping the Postfix sources I've found the string
"dict_ldap_get_values" in src/global/dict_ldap.c . I've managed to edit
it and change "size_limit;" attribute from "long" to "double", guessing
with my poor C skills that if I increase the value of size limit, maybe
the error stop occurring, but had no success.
Postfix does its queries in MS Windows Server 2003's Active Directory.
This "everyone" mail address is a group in AD that has all other groups
in my organization inside it (like IT, Sales, MKT etc.).
Contents of /etc/postfix/ldap/groups :
server_host = qqq.www.eee.rrr ttt.yyy.uuu.iii
search_base = cn=Users,dc=domain,dc=tld
bind = yes
bind_dn = accountdomain.tld
bind_pw = password
version = 3
query_filter = (&(objectClass=group)(description=%s))
special_result_attribute = member
result_attribute = mail
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Sorry about the poor english.
