Thanks. Now that I think of it, I suppose I could use unix:passwd in
my virtual maps rather than reconnecting to LDAP.

I'm kind of curious, Victor, why you think my choice of unix user
names is not wise. We have multiple domains, with users with the same
name needing access to the same machine. As I see it, it's either
using their email address, or some hack like user%domain and all of my
users have to be aware of it. This is the first time I've come into
the problem of the username not being compatible...
