It is probably a statefull smtp inspector, see if you can disable this.
What happens is that it thinks that when the TLS session starts that the
protocol is not a proper SMTP conversation therefore it must be terminated.
Out of curiosity , Scott, how did you figure it out with just a
two-liner complaint ?
