Thanks for the reply. If it were really a port blocking issue would
not the error be consistent? Also are you implying the error is on
the sender's side?
Just so we are clear which way to look at it, my server is the
receiver. The sender is getting the error in their bounced mail. It
is unlikely their IT dept will do anything without some definitive
proof of where the problem is.
Since our business is dependent on this mail I am stuck trying to
resolve the issue. If it is on the sender's side I need to have
enough information to give them so they will accept the problem. If
it is on my side then I need to understand the problem so I can fix it.
