A tap is on and adding water to a bathtub. The tub drain is not closed,
and water is also draining out the bottom. The in-flow via the tap is
greater than the out-flow via the drain. What happens?

Tune amavis for higher throughput. You may need to disable some remote
(DNS?) checks in amavis or SpamAssassin or run more parallel amavis
processes provided this increases throughput without thrashing the CPU.

If my response solves your problem, the best way to thank me is to not
send an "it worked, thanks" follow-up. If you must respond, please put
"It worked, thanks" in the "Subject" so I can delete these quickly.
