We currently use the Mail Abuse DNS blacklist, unfortunately it seems to
be listing some important client on that list and we need to
whitelist either individuals email addresses (MAIL FROM) or ISP email
server ip addresses.
How we are currently implementing this is:
smtpd_client_restrictions =
check_client_access hash:/etc/postfix/access,
reject_rbl_client xx.r.mail-abuse.com,
reject_rbl_client yy.q.mail-abuse.com
So I am trying to determine which is the most appropriate method for
dealing with this.
So my question is:
smtpd_delay_reject delays the processing of smtpd_* options until AFTER
RCPT TO commands,
but what is the order in which they are processed, and given that the
sending IP address may be listed in mail-abuse,
will it ever get to my PERMIT in a smtpd_sender_restrictions hash table?
postfix version is:
postfix-2.0.16-14.RHEL3
Thanks
