Does dmesg report any failures for the hd? Are you using a mysql/postgresql based map? ----- Original Message ---- From: Ken Morley <Kenjmtg.com> To: Andreas Grimm <grimm.andreasyahoo.com> Sent: Thursday, November 1, 2007 9:18:13 PM Subject: RE: Postfix reports Error: queue write error Andreas: Thanks for the response. I already thought of that, but a DF shows that we've got over 104GB available on / (4% in use). /boot and /dev/shm also are no more than 14% in use. Thanks! What does df says? ----- Original Message ---- From: Ken Morley <Kenjmtg.com> To: postfix-userspostfix.org Sent: Thursday, November 1, 2007 8:55:01 PM Subject: Postfix reports Error: queue write error Our company uses a mail filter comprised of Postfix, Amavisd-new, ClamAV, Postgrey, etc. To troubleshoot another issue, I've got Postfix logging verbosely. On mail filter startup, root receives several e-mails similar to the following: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------- Message 1: From double-bouncemaildrop.domain.com <mailto:double-bouncemaildrop.domain..com> Thu Nov 1 15:33:55 2007 X-Original-To: postmaster Delivered-To: postmastermaildrop.domain.com <mailto:postmastermaildrop.domain.com> Date: Thu, 1 Nov 2007 15:33:54 -0400 (EDT) From: MAILER-DAEMONmaildrop.domain.com <mailto:MAILER-DAEMONmaildrop..domain.com> (Mail Delivery System) To: postmastermaildrop.domain.com <mailto:postmastermaildrop.domain.com> (Postmaster) Subject: Postfix SMTP server: errors from s2.webmail.senderdomain.com[66.21.14.21] Transcript of session follows. Does anyone have any suggestions about how I can troubleshoot this further? Again, this only happens for about the first five minutes following startup. Thanks!
