I can send messages from this laptop to anne lydgate.lan and they will appear
on my imap server (machine 'david'). However, I am not getting root's mail.
The alias is set up - root: annelydgate.lan.

The mail queue shows

Host or domain name not found. Name service error for name=david.lydgate.lan
type=A: Host not found, try again

The transport hash includes

lydgate.net smtp:[david.lydgate.lan]
.lydgate.net smtp:[david.lydgate.lan]

What have I missed?
