First, there are several programs with variations of "amavis"
as part of the name, so it's unclear what program you are
trying to configure. Of these, the only one that isn't a dead
project is amavisd-new, which is well documented and well
supported on its own amavis-users mail list.
The best documentation for configuring amavisd-new with
postfix surprisingly comes with amavisd-new.
