How to rewrite the display part of a From: address

I have a deficient MUA (mobile device) which submits email via SMTP
like this:
From: joebloggsexample.com
rather than say:
From: "Joe Bloggs" <joebloggsexample.com>
As the MUA is not easily fixable, is there a mechanism where one can
rewrite only the display part of the header From: address?
