does smtpd_recipient_limit affect mailing lists?

Hi all,
I'd like to ask if the smtpd_recipient_limit affects mailing lists. I've
set up a limit of 300 recipients. Some of my lists contain more than
1000 users.
Today i noticed that not all of my users have received emails posted to
their mailing list. I'm suspecting the smtpd_recipient_limit.
