There is no longer a message in my queue with that bad address and I have search and sorted my transport map and that was the only bad entry, yet I continue to get the message in my mail.warn log once every minute> >> > All other mail seems to be flowing just fine and I haven't restarted or reloaded postfix, should I?>
If I'm not mistaken, qmgr reports cached (in this case, stale) information. Although there may be other (probably better) ways to do it, I have observed on several occasions that this works in this situation:
1) fix the problem with the transport2) postfix reload3) requeue the stuck messages: postsuper -r ALL4) wait for the messages to requeue (about a minute and a half should be good)5) postfix reload
and is essence, this is what you have done.
