[ Opt-in is not particularly meaningful if it is not confirmed opt-in. ]
If the users want the mailing, and find that it ends up quarantined, they
can whitelist you for just their account, or work with their provider to
ask for a broader whitelist. If you are getting rejected, you can work with
the provider directly to resolve the issue.
If your mail is silently discarded, then the users need a better provider,
but in practice of course you can search for "feedback loop" information
for the provider in question. Major ESPs have feedback loop programs that
are described on their websites, e.g. <http://postmaster.aol.com>.

If my response solves your problem, the best way to thank me is to not
send an "it worked, thanks" follow-up. If you must respond, please put
"It worked, thanks" in the "Subject" so I can delete these quickly.
