Hi all,
I'm trying to set my postfx 2.3.2-2 to cache destination by network address.
One of our major ISP's has a primary mx record which host hundreds of
domains.
If I'm using smtp_connection_cache_destinations = foo.com it's working,
but it's forcing me to set the list with new domain every time I'm
getting an error from his mail server.
The solution will be to set his ip address :
smtp_connection_cache_destination = 1.2.3.4
The problem is that it's no working.
It's appeared that the scache lookups can't deal with network addresses.
According to the postfix 2.2 release note , and I'm quoting :
"[Feature 20040723] Per-destination SMTP connection caching. This is
enabled with the
smtp_connection_cache_destinations parameter. The parameter requires
"bare" domain names or IP addresses without "[]" or TCP port, to avoid a
syntax conflict between host:port and maptype:mapname entries."
Is it a bug in this release ?
Is there a patch or work around to accomplish the desire behavior ?
Thanks in advance
Barak Yakir
