The virtual_alias_maps (virtual(5)) feature rewrites all addresses,
not just those in virtual alias domains. Don't confuse the virtual
rewriting feature with the address class for domains where such rewriting
is mandatory.
So add whatever rewrites you need and keep the domains as "relay" domains.
If all users in a domain are rewritten, you don't even need any entries
in the relay recipient table, the table can be empty (different from
empty setting for the parameter) because recipients listed in virtual(5)
are always deemed valid.
