spf and friends does not help here. the solution is that those who send
backscatter must stop. if they continue, they will be blocklisted. many
people resisted the "no more open relay" word. see where they are now.
today, the word is "no more backscatter". some people still claim they
can't validate recipients at smtp time and that "they must send a
bounce". this is no more acceptable. backscatter sources must be
blacklisted. if you can't, try rejecting the null sender from such
sources, but as with open relay, this won't help fix the problem.
