The connection times out. they may be "torturing" you, or you may have a
firewall playing badly in the path.

I have no problem getting their EHLO reply from here.

make sure you helo ($myhostname) is correctly set. what is the output of
# postconf myhostname
?

do you send them a lot of mail?

the best thing is to ask the admin of the remote site.
