Hi,
I have a strange problem getting postfix to work with sasl. I am using Debian Etch.
I have gotten everyting to work fine on a redhat system.
I installed the sasl2- debian packages.
I have compiled with use_sasl_auth use_cyrus_sasl
I have tried with the dovecot version. (all as shown in the docs)
I have verified that the postifx installed binaries have the new time stamps when I re-compile and install.
and I do have the neccessary lines in the main.cf file. As I said, I had no problems installing on an RHEL system.
I get no compile errors, or log errors.
When I try to test with telnet, I just do not get the 250-AUTH DIGEST-MD5 PLAIN CRAM-MD5 line.
Postfix is acting like sasl is not even an option with either cyrus or dovecot.
TLS seems to work fine as well when I add it to the compilation options.
Any ideas?
Is there a debian package I can just use that has TSL ans SASL compiled in?
Thanks,
Chris
