- Make sure your lists really contain users who want to receive the
newsletter, not just users whose email address you happened to collect
at some point in the past. Opt-in, not opt-out.
- Fix your DNS to have non-generic PTR records.
- Work with Yahoo, Barracuda, ... to be removed from blacklists, added
to whitelists, ...
- Remove non-working addresses promptly from your lists.
- ...
Large scale bulk-email is 99% list management and 1% software/hardware
delivery infrastructure.
If you err on the side of not mailing users whose voluntary subscription
status is uncertain, you should be able to improve your sender
"reputation" over time.
