Join us Wednesday, July 3rd at 1pm EDT (1700 UTC) for 10 Steps Towards
Solaris Security presented by Hal Pomeranz, Deer Run Associates.

SANS is pleased to bring you our next webcast in our First Wednesday
    Webcast series.

There are a few simple things that anybody can do to help protect the
security of their Solaris systems. Indeed, these same principals can
be applied to almost any Unix-like operating system. Hal Pomeranz will
cover these techniques in a fast-paced Web briefing and provide pointers
to automated tools and other documents on hardening Solaris systems (as
well as other OSes). A brief look at what's coming in the Solaris 9
    release will also be included.

In addition, Wednesday's webcast will feature:

    - -Chris Pick, Lead Product Strategist, speaking on behalf of this month's
    webcast co-sponsor, Pentasafe - http://www.pentasafe.com

    - -A special instructional session by Scott Fendley. In this talk, Scott
will focus on some of the latest vulnerabilities that have shaken
network and system administrators. Vulnerabilities associated with SSH,
Apache Web Server, and MS-SQL will be discussed.

You can listen live and ask questions, or, once you have an access code,
sign on later to listen to the webcast at your leisure.
