SANS presents the latest in our Wednesday Webcast series.

Join us Wednesday, November 6 at 1:00 PM EST (1800 UTC) for this
    complimentary presentation:
"Can't Boil an Egg Without a Shell - Why Web Perimeter Security is a
Necessary Step to a Secure Site" with Kathleen Moriarty.

Web sites are often a main target of network-based attacks against an
organization. As a result, perimeter security to protect web servers
is a big concern and the options to enhance security in this area have
been evolving. Keeping in mind the importance of the basic security
measures of filters, firewalls, secure servers, and application code
other options are evolving to provide greater depth to the security of
a web site. Web site security may now entail the use of an application
firewall, system call monitoring, and content monitoring programs. While
all of the available web site security options have their merits, each
should be evaluated to determine which fit best in any environment.

Two additional features of the webcast are:
"Driving Security Through the Application Lifecycle" with Steve Orrin,
Chief Technology Officer for Sanctum, Inc., this month's webcast
    co-sponsor.
