Legal guidance on what the law expects in an IT security policy
is thin. Some guidance appears in the security regulations under
the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act applicable to financial institutions. In
December 2005 those regulations were further explained when federal
regulators issued Interagency Guidelines Establishing Information
Security Standards: Small-Entity Compliance Guide. This new Guide
is relevant to any enterprise implementing a security policy, even
if it is not a financial institution or a small entity. This webcast
will explain the new Guide, put it into context, and show how you can
use the tips, examples and checklists in the Guide to improve any IT
security policy.
