WEBCAST 1

Ask The Expert Webcast: "Database Security: Prevention, Detection, and

In the last year, information security professionals everywhere have
realized something: it's all about the data. In most organizations
today, that data resides in some type of database. Therefore, protecting
these databases is critical to the overall security posture of
organizations everywhere. What kind of attacks can be executed against
databases? How can these be detected and prevented? What about
fraudulent activities by legitimate users? In this webcast, an overview
of common database attacks will be covered, as well as an in-depth look
at modern technologies available to prevent and detect these attacks.
Additionally, the topic of database monitoring will be covered in some
detail, as many of the worst security breaches today are executed by
valid users!

Dave Shackleford: Dave Shackleford has been involved in Information
Technology, particularly the arenas of networking and security, for over
nine years. Dave has worked as a security architect and manager for a
number of large companies, and has also run his own consulting practice
for several years. He currently works as the Director of Security
Solutions and Assessment Services for Vigilar, and his areas of
specialty include incident handling and response, intrusion detection
and traffic analysis, and vulnerability assessment and penetration
testing. He is also the co-author of "Hands On Information Security"
from Course Technology.

Eric Gonzales: Eric is a Co-Founder for Application Security, Inc. and
is responsible for the development and operations of all product
marketing initiatives. Prior to founding AppSecInc, Eric also co-founded
DbSecure, Inc. "the pioneers in database security," and was a product
