DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been identified in Verity K2 ToolKit, which can
be exploited by malicious people to conduct Cross-Site Scripting
attacks against other visitors.

The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error in Query
Builder when displaying error messages. This can be exploited by
supplying script code in a query, which will be executed in a user's
browser session if the user is tricked into clicking a specially
crafted link or visiting a malicious website.

Successful exploitation can result in disclosure of various
information (eg. cookie-based authentication information) associated
with the site running Verity K2 ToolKit or inclusion of malicious
content, which the user thinks is part of the real website.

src=javascript:alert(document.cookie)>

The vulnerability has been reported in Verity K2 Toolkit v2.20 for
RS/6000. However, other versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Filter malicious characters in a HTTP proxy or firewall with URL
filtering capabilities.
