http://www.secunia.com/advisories/9180/

CRITICAL:
Moderately critical

IMPACT:
Exposure of system information, Exposure of sensitive information

WHERE:
From remote

SOFTWARE:
PinkNet Web Server 2.x

DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in PinkNet Web Server, which can be
exploited by malicious people to gain access to arbitrary files on a
web server.

The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error. PinkNet
Web Server does not filter the character sequence "./../" in a URL
properly, which makes it possible for a malicious person to traverse
out of the web root.

Example:
http://[victim]/./../existing_file

The vulnerability has been confirmed in both version 2.0.2 and 2.0.1.
Prior versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Install the web root on a separate drive letter to minimize the
impact of traversals. Filter malicious characters in a HTTP proxy or
firewall with URL filtering capabilities.

Use another web server.
