DESCRIPTION:
David Byrne has reported a vulnerability in Finjan SurfinGate,
allowing malicious people to access administrative functions.

The problem is that SurfinGate fails to block requests to the
administrative interface (FHTTP) made through the proxy service. If a
"CONNECT" is issued through the proxy to connect to the
administrative interface, any request will appear to originate from
localhost ("127.0.0.1"). This allows access to administrative
functions.

The vulnerability has been reported in versions 6.0 and 7.0.

SOLUTION:
Disable the proxy service or use another proxy server.
