DESCRIPTION:
A security issue has been discovered in Windows 2000, which may allow
bypassing certain security restrictions.

The problem is that accounts with expired passwords still in certain
circumstances can log on to a Windows 2000 domain.

Successful exploitation requires that the FQDN (Fully Qualified
Domain Name) is exactly 8 characters long.

SOLUTION:
Microsoft has issued a hotfix.

Customers, who are affected by this issue, is advised to contact
Microsoft Product Support Services in order to obtain the hotfix.
