DESCRIPTION:
A vulnerability has been reported in Squid, which can be exploited by
malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an input validation error in the
SNMP module within the "asn_parse_header()" function when handling
certain negative length fields. This can be exploited to restart
Squid by sending a UDP datagram containing specially crafted header
length combinations.

Successful exploitation requires that SNMP support is enabled.

SOLUTION:
Apply patch or update to version 2.5.STABLE7.
