DESCRIPTION:
Luca Ercoli has discovered a vulnerability in Crystal FTP, which can
be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error in the handling
of file extensions in response to "LIST" requests. This can be
exploited to cause a buffer overflow by e.g. tricking a user into
connecting to a malicious FTP server.

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability has been confirmed on version 2.8. Other versions
may also be affected.
