DESCRIPTION:
Red Hat has issued an update for the kernel. This fixes a
vulnerability, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to
cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an error in the offset handling in
the xattr file system code and can be exploited to crash a vulnerable
64-bit system.

Successful exploitation requires access to an ext3
extended-attribute-enabled file system.

SOLUTION:
Updated packages are available from Red Hat Network.
