DESCRIPTION:
Several vulnerabilities have been reported in SquirrelMail, which can
be exploited by malicious people to conduct cross-site scripting
attacks.

The vulnerabilities are caused due to unspecified errors and can be
exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's
browser session in context of a vulnerable site via either URL
manipulation or by sending a specially crafted email to a user.

The vulnerabilities have been reported in versions 1.4.0 through
1.4.4. Prior versions may also be affected.

SOLUTION:
Apply patch.

The vendor advises users of older non-supported versions to upgrade
to version 1.4.4 with the patch applied.
